Tapas
Castlegate Taberna

Welcomes you to come and enjoy dishes of the spanish gastronomy served as tapas, and to discover some of the many well appreciated Spanish wines.
Ian and Amparo
Tapas? They are small snacks that originated in Andalucia in the 19th century to acompany a sherry. Stemming from a bartenders practise of covering a glass with a saucer or tapa (cover) to keep out flies, the custom progresses to a range of appetizing varieties of cold and hot dishes serving regional specialities.

How many? Ian and Amparo suggest that to make a meal out of tapas, each person should choose about 4 tapas and then should share everybodys choice, with the wine flowing and lively conversation.
